How We Handle Your Information

Who We Are

JDEVerse is an enterprise technology platform where professionals discover knowledge, ask questions, share solutions and explore opportunities.

This policy applies to the JDEVerse website and the services provided through it. The privacy and data-protection requirements that apply depend on the services provided, where JDEVerse operates, where individuals are located and the nature of the processing.

For any privacy question, use the contact route at the end of this policy.

Information We Collect

Account information: the name and email address you register with, plus any profile details you choose to add, such as your role, technologies, experience, certifications and education.

Content you create: questions, answers, articles, solutions, comments, bookmarks and messages.

Enquiries: information you submit through the contact and partnership forms, including your name, email address, organization and message.

Technical information needed to run the site, such as your language preference and session state.

How We Collect Information

Directly from you when you create an account, complete your profile, publish content, or submit a form.

If you use a third-party sign-in provider, we receive the information that provider shares with us, such as your name, email address and profile picture. We do not receive your password from that provider.

Through cookies and similar technologies needed to keep you signed in and remember preferences.

How We Use Your Information

To operate your account and provide the services, to display contributions you choose to publish, to respond to enquiries, and to contact you about the service.

We do not sell personal information.

Public and Private Information

Most of JDEVerse can be browsed without signing in. Creating content, messaging and account features require an account.

Your public profile and anything you publish — questions, answers, solutions, comments and your Professional Passport, once you publish it — are visible to other visitors and may be indexed by search engines.

Your account settings, private messages, bookmarks and any resume you have not chosen to share remain private to you.

Before publishing information, check the visibility settings shown to you. Information intentionally published publicly may be copied, indexed or shared by others outside JDEVerse.

How We Share Your Information

Content you publish is shown to other users of the platform, which is the purpose of publishing it.

We use service providers to help operate JDEVerse, such as hosting, email delivery, security and infrastructure providers. They process information as necessary to provide services to us and subject to appropriate contractual and legal requirements.

We may disclose information where we are legally required to do so.

Jobs and Events

Job and event listings link out to the source listing. Following one of those links takes you to a third-party site, and anything you submit there is handled under that site's own privacy practices, not ours.

When you follow an external link, the third party's privacy policy and terms apply to information you provide on that site.

Where a listing accepts an application through JDEVerse instead, the information you provide is stored here and shared only with the organisation that posted it.

Contact and Partnership Enquiries

Enquiries submitted through the contact or partnership forms are stored as private administrative records. They are never published, never turned into a public listing, and are visible only to authorized administrators.

We use enquiry information to respond to your request and for related administrative purposes. We do not use it for unrelated marketing without an appropriate legal basis or consent where required.

Professional Passport

Your Professional Passport contains information you choose to make part of your professional profile. Depending on your settings, this information may be publicly visible and may be indexed by search engines. You are responsible for reviewing what you choose to publish.

Verification or credentials displayed on a Passport reflect the status recorded by JDEVerse and should not be interpreted as professional licensing or certification unless expressly stated.

AI and Automated Processing

JDEVerse may use AI-assisted tools in certain content, research, discovery or platform workflows, and labels AI-assisted content so you can see how something was produced. Interactive AI assistant features may not be available at all times or in all areas.

Where an AI feature processes prompts, uploads or account information through an AI provider, we will provide information about the relevant processing, the provider and the applicable retention before or when the feature becomes available.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies that are necessary to run the site: keeping you signed in, protecting forms against abuse, and remembering preferences such as your chosen language.

You can manage available cookie and similar-technology choices through our Cookie Settings, in addition to the controls provided by your browser. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the platform working.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including while your account remains active and for appropriate periods afterwards where required or permitted by law.

Retention differs by category: account data, public contributions, messages, contact and partnership enquiries, security logs, legal or compliance records, and backups.

When you delete your account, we handle your personal information in accordance with our retention and deletion practices. Some information may need to be retained where required or permitted by law, for security, dispute resolution, legal obligations or other legitimate purposes.

Content you contributed to public discussions may remain in anonymised or otherwise appropriately retained form so that discussions continue to make sense to other users.

Your Choices and Rights

You can view, correct and export your information from your account settings, and you can delete your account at any time.

You control the visibility of your profile and your Professional Passport, and you choose what to publish.

Depending on where you are located, you may have additional rights over your personal information. Contact us and we will respond to your request.

Children's Privacy

JDEVerse is a professional platform intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

International Data Transfers

JDEVerse is available internationally, and the providers we use to operate the platform may process information in countries other than your own. Where that happens, we take steps intended to keep the protection described in this policy in place.

Security

We use measures appropriate to the platform, including encrypted connections, access controls, protection against automated abuse, and optional two-factor authentication on your account.

Access to personal information is limited to people and service providers who need it for legitimate operational, security or legal purposes.

No online service can promise absolute security. We describe the measures we take rather than guaranteeing an outcome.

Third-Party Links and Services

JDEVerse links to external websites, including job listings, event registrations and sources cited in articles. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.

Privacy Framework

The privacy and data-protection rules that apply to JDEVerse depend on factors such as where JDEVerse operates, where you are located, the services provided and the nature of the processing. We apply appropriate privacy and data-protection requirements to the information we process.

Where a particular framework gives you specific rights over your personal information, those rights apply in addition to the choices described above.

Changes to This Policy

We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update, and we will give notice of material changes through the platform.

We are committed to your privacy and building trust. Thank you for being part of the JDEVerse community.
